Introducing the Hudson Collection
The Hudson Collection began with a conversation. When Drummonds opened its New York showroom at the A&D Building on East 58th Street, Creative Director James Lentaigne met Andrew Sheinman, Founder of Pembrooke & Ives. The London-natives connected over a shared passion for British heritage design and the conviction that the built environment deserves to be taken seriously.
The parallels between the brands were hard to ignore; the companies were founded just one year apart, Pembrooke & Ives in 1987, Drummonds in 1988, and both had built their reputations on quality, elegance, and material integrity. Pembrooke & Ives had long been a fixture of New York’s design world, while Drummonds was carving out its own niche in the American market, so the partnership was a natural pairing.
Drummonds
When Drummond Shaw founded the company in 1988, he was driven by a passion for sourcing architectural antiques, an ethos that continues to shape the brand today. While Drummonds now primarily focuses on the manufacturing and distribution of classic bathroom products, its heritage remains central to its identity.
Drummonds’ products are meticulously handcrafted using time-honored techniques pioneered by the finest Victorian foundries. Known for their expertise in enameling and hand-finishing, Drummonds treats every piece as a one-of-a-kind. Their fixtures lead design trends by evolving traditional concepts into products that work across classic and contemporary settings.

"We were intent on creating something that did not sit neatly within a single historical reference. There are subtle nods to Art Deco in the crispness of line, yet the profiles remain softened and restrained..."— James Lentaigne, Creative Director, Drummonds
The Hudson Collection
The Hudson Collection, named after the river that runs through New York, is a complete suite of solid brass bathroom fittings. The collection features style options to curate the fixtures to a range of interior styles.
Pembrooke & Ives developed two handle designs: the cross-head and the lever. The cross-head handle offers an organic, sloping shape of the turn has a sculptural silhouette that appears very different when installed on the wall versus mounted onto the countertop. The angles highlight a different aspect of the cross-head’s form. The lever takes a more measured approach with its elongated handle and pared-back profile. The designers arrived at the handle’s unique shape after countless hand sketches. The idea was to create something that looked simple and clean, but upon closer inspection and touch, a much more complex design is revealed. Each side of the lever features a gently beveled edge. For those who prefer a more traditional detail, both styles of handles can be engraved with C or H to denote temperature, or left clean for a minimal finish.
The Hudson Collection is available in nine timeless metal finishes: unlacquered brass, polished chrome, polished nickel, antique brass, antique bronze, brushed brass, antique brushed brass, brushed nickel, and antique nickel.
All brass pieces are hand-cast using the lost-wax technique and left unlacquered, allowing the surface to age and patinate naturally over time.
"On the surface the fixtures have a wonderful simplicity and elegance, while subtle bevels and sculpted curvature start to reveal greater complexity of design and craftsmanship. It was exciting to see the artistry of the Drummonds fabrication process achieve this vision."— Francis Nicdao, Principal and Chief Creative Officer

The Catalog
The collection’s design starts from a place that feels familiar, drawing on the language of classical bath design, then refining it through a more architectural lens. Each piece within the suite reflects a careful approach to proportion, material, and detail, resulting in something that feels both grounded and current. The Hudson Collection showcases a range of options to fit many installation preferences and interior styles.

Basin Mixer
The Hudson basin mixer is available in both wall-mounted and countertop versions. In both installations, the mixer features a widespread orientation. The mixer can be specified with the choice of handle style.

BathTub Mixer & Wall Spout
The floor standing bath & shower mixer offers a choice of cross-head or lever handles and a floor-standing design with a height-adjustable stand for installation flexibility. For a tub-shower combination, the wall spout can be paired with the collection’s shower controls. The pieces are handmade from solid brass and available in Drummonds’ classic material finishes.

Shower Controls
The Hudson Collection shower controls are highly customizable. Made up of three components, the thermostatic shower valve, the on/off shower control, and the on/off 2-way shower diverter, that can be specified individually or combined into a cohesive, intuitive system tailored to the unique demands of the installation. Options include the cross-head or lever handles, floating controls or panel-backed installation, and a choice of the collection’s finishes.

The Hand Shower
The Hudson Hand Shower features a refined fluted handle detail and a sturdy brass construction. The fixture is available in three variants to suit different arrangements: a single bracket that provides a clean, understated way to house the hand shower, an adjustable riser bracket, that allows the hand shower height to be easily positioned for a comfortable hands-free experience, and a horizontal bracket that introduces a strong, architectural profile while providing a clean, considered way to house the hand shower.
