A home library is a timeless design feature that enriches a space both visually and atmospherically, evoking a sense of knowledge, imagination, and possibility. Each library we design is tailored to the client’s home and personal style, sometimes drawing on classical details such as wood paneling, other times embracing a modern sensibility with clean lines and contemporary silhouettes.

Crab Creek

Our Crab Creek home features two vintage-inspired reading areas. The first, situated in the central living room, features hand-crafted wood bookcases with floating shelves and cabinet storage filled with colorful editions. A glass-top library table by David Gill becomes a focal point, styled with coffee table books and objets d’art. In the Study, Vitsoe shelves are brimming with books, creating another inviting space to read and work.

The Luxe Urban Expansion library embodies tradition and grandeur. A moody palette of deep teal and warm wood sets a sophisticated tone, while shelves lined with antique books and first editions enhance its sense of history. A curated mix of contemporary, vintage, and antique furnishings creates a timeless atmosphere, evoking the past yet designed for modern living. By the window, a desk with a leather writing pad provides an elegant workspace with a view overlooking Central Park.

West Side Elegance

The West Side Elegance home offers an unconventional take on the library with iconic USM Haller shelves lining the powder room. The colorful spines bring a vibrant touch to the black and white bathroom. The bookcase’s unexpected placement introduces a playful, whimsical spirit, standing in contrast to the formality libraries often suggest.

The Chatsworth

The library at The Chatsworth boasts an impressive collection of books and serves as a refined amenity space for residents. More than a reading room, it offers a “third place” beyond the home, an intimate, quiet setting designed for relaxation, reflection, and engagement with literature.
