Francis Nicdao serves as the Principal and Chief Creative Officer at Pembrooke & Ives where he leverages his business acumen and artistic expertise to lend creative direction to projects and expand the firm’s robust portfolio of work. Having worked for the company for over a decade, Francis is integral to upholding its legendary standards of quality design and unparalleled client services and is the mastermind behind many of the firm’s most celebrated projects. His visionary contributions include dozens of high-end residential projects and oversight of building renovations, lobby transformations and product design.

Hailing from the Philippines, Francis was raised in a community renowned for its production of handcrafted furniture and artisanal goods. These formative experiences fostered his innate interest in design and ultimately led him to New York City. He began his career by designing private residences, spas, and retail concepts for clients at D’Aquino Monaco before joining Pembrooke & Ives. Francis earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Pratt University and further enriched his education by completing an architectural program at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen.
