On the Boards: A First Look at The Alpine Club in Telluride

We are excited to share a rare glimpse into one of our on the boards projects. The Alpine Club in Telluride, Colorado is perched 10,540 feet above sea level at San Sophia Station, and was recently featured in Forbes and The Manual as Telluride’s first private, on-mountain retreat. Colorado holds a special place for our firm having designed a number of residences across the state, but the Alpine Club presents a unique opportunity to bring our expertise to a larger scale within the commercial realm.

As the interior design partner, our vision is to create a sanctuary that feels elevated and deeply sensitive to its setting. The design blends sophisticated alpine style with the region’s rugged authenticity. It’s textured and layered with tactile materials, weathered woods, hand-stitched leathers, and aged metals that echo the textures of the surrounding San Juan landscape.

Inside, members will discover spaces designed for adventure and repose: a lively après lounge that flows seamlessly between indoors and out, a mountain-view dining room with warmth and intimacy, a soaring great room that welcomes community gatherings, to name a few.
Currently in the final planning stages, The Alpine Club is slated to break ground in fall 2025 with a grand opening during the 2026–2027 ski season. We look forward to sharing more as the project evolves.
