Designed in close collaboration with the esteemed architectural firm Robert A.M. Stern Architects (RAMSA), the project balances classic design principles with thoughtful functionality, creating a welcoming environment that prioritizes both luxury and ease of living.

ENTRANCE

Upon arrival at The Newbury of Brookline, residents and guests are welcomed into an inviting reception area that sets the tone for the community. The space features classic molding and traditional millwork, establishing a warm and refined atmosphere. A crystal and brass chandelier lends a touch of glamor overhead, while comfortable seating areas encourage conversation and connection. The front desk offers a central point for check-in and assistance.

Frederick’s Restaurant

The restaurant at The Newbury of Brookline was designed as a sociable dining destination, where residents can gather, connect, and enjoy their meals. A traditional board-and-batten grid anchors the walls, complemented by a cheerful wallpaper featuring lemon trees. Banquettes and larger tables accommodate group dining, while intimate two-tops offer space for quieter moments. The result is a fresh, yet classic, environment that feels lively and welcoming.

Skyline Lounge

With the warmth and sophistication of a classic clubhouse, the Skyline Lounge offers a cozy yet elevated setting for cocktails, conversation, and cards. Moody black tile and tailored millwork add richness and depth to the space, creating an atmosphere that feels both familiar and refined. In addition to lounge seating, the room includes dining tables where residents can enjoy meals in a more intimate, relaxed setting, making the lounge a versatile hub for both socializing and unwinding.

Salon

The salon at The Newbury of Brookline was conceived as a self-care retreat, an inviting space where residents can recharge and feel their best. Designed with comfort and dignity in mind, the salon offers access to beauty services that support residents’ routines and sense of self. Whether for a haircut, styling appointment, or opportunity for pampering, the space is a thoughtful extension of home that prioritizes well-being and confidence.

Pool

The pool at The Newbury of Brookline is designed for relaxation and gentle movement. Flooded with natural light from expansive windows, the space feels open and uplifting. Residents can enjoy the swimming pool and hot tub for leisure or engaging in low-impact exercise. Cheerful yellow cushions on the surrounding furniture add a vibrant, welcoming touch to this invigorating environment.

Sun Room

Bathed in natural light, the sun room at The Newbury of Brookline brings a taste of the outdoors in. The rotunda is painted in a vibrant green that echoes the surrounding springtime vegetation, creating a sense of continuity between the interior and landscape. With its panoramic windows and garden-inspired palette, the space invites residents to relax, reflect, and enjoy the beauty of the changing seasons.

Harbor Bar

With its rich millwork, exposed ceiling beams, and display shelves, the Harbor Bar exudes the timeless elegance of a ship’s interior. Dark wood tones lend the space a sense of warmth and tradition, while integrated architectural lighting highlights curated objects and nautical-inspired décor. Tufted leather armchairs provide comfortable seating in the adjoining dining area, reinforcing the bar’s club-like atmosphere, inviting residents to gather, dine, and relax in style.

Fitness Center

Designed to support an active and balanced lifestyle, the Fitness Center at The Newbury of Brookline emphasizes physical well-being in a clean, sun-filled environment. The space features safe and effective exercise equipment that empowers residents to maintain their strength, mobility, and confidence, encouraging healthy routines and personal independence.

Pheasant Lounge

The Pheasant Lounge is an elegant gathering space defined by classical design and timeless detail. Intricately carved wood molding, a stately central fireplace, and a pair of teal sofas arranged in perfect symmetry evoke a sense of refinement. With a grand piano by the hearth, the Pheasant Lounge transforms into a vibrant social hub where residents can listen to live piano music.
