Children’s playrooms can offer a colorful and imaginative space where creativity can flourish in young minds. These spaces should be comfortable and inviting, while offering plenty of storage for toys and crafts. A playroom should also take design cues from the rest of the home to make for a cohesive aesthetic. We’re walking through three children’s playrooms curated by our team of experienced interior designers. Discover how these spaces combine practicality with wonder to provide young ones with the perfect setting for endless adventures.

Uptown Penthouse

The children’s playroom of the Uptown Penthouse offers warm, neutral tones with splashes of color. The playful area rug brings graphic geometry and a range of colors to the space, while patterned wallpaper behind the TV adds whimsy. A custom entertainment center with blue pop provides ample storage for toys. A braided-edge table and chairs incorporate tones from the carpet with a high-textured finish. A custom cast iron screen becomes a fun architectural element that creates both separation of space while also maintaining a sense of openness.

Uptown Eclectic

The children’s playroom in our Uptown Eclectic project is designed with layered patterns in warm caramel and blue hues for a cohesive feel. The graphic wallpaper and carpeting paired with a custom wood desk and cozy chairs makes the space inviting and creative. The desk is a perfect place for drawing or for homework, while the plush carpet is an ideal surface for play.

Park Loggia

The children’s playroom in the Park Loggia is envisioned as an indoor playground for children to climb, slide, and crawl. Bright blue and red tones offset a warm wood for a dynamic and youthful space to play. High ceilings make the playroom’s 2-story custom structure feel expansive and limitless. It is a space for endless discovery and fun.
